The first softball team in the history of Marshall was the beginning of a new chapter in the school.  Much like the second year team, the first team was close.  Both teams ate out and fooled around.  To some, this was the first time meeting new friends, because the returning players became closer in the following year.  The first year team went to Malibu Grand Prix in Redwood City to go to the batting cages, as well as to have some fun.  A tradition set by the first year team was to eat out for the players' and the coach's birthdays.  One anonymous place to eat at was Chevy's.
